Good quality PTT switch

Could anyone suggest a really good quality PTT switch that will last a long time.

A little info on the application (electrical and mechanical interfaces) would help answer the question better, but FWIW Otto is a well known manufacturer of PTT switches for OEM applications, with a very wide range. The P1 through P9 range is applicable to aircraft. Here are some of them.

These are available from industrial suppliers like Mouser Electronics. Given the huge variety, it can take a while to figure out exactly what to order. I like them with the lower actuation force option.

Search here for “PTT”. It is made by Otto, as Silvaire says. This is a very good switch; also sealed so safe to operate even with fuel vapour in the cockpit! There are other “milspec” switches around, often found cheaply on Ebay. APEM in France make some good ones.

If there were fuel vapours in the cockpit, the PTT switch would be the least of my worries. What about landing gear and flap switches? Landing lights..?
