So I saw this in my brand new canopy cover (merely a few weeks in use) and genuinely wonder what has caused it?
Any ideas?

I wonder why a bird would pick a hole in the cover? Our aircraft lived outside for decades with just a cover and I never saw anything like this.
Any mark on paint or metal behind the hole? A fledgeling woodpecker? Too late for an adult looking to make a noise to attract a mate??
The hole is clearly made outside in. Perhaps some predatory bird thought the upper door lock underneath the canopy is a mouse?
Many planes here covered for years and years, never saw anything like this.
