Not often one hears of a UK airport going forwards instead of backwards
There are very few GA-usable airports on the UK south coast. There is only Bournemouth EGHH and Shoreham EGKA. Southampton EGHI doesn't appear to have much parking although there have been some recent management changes which might lead to something. Lydd EGMD is way out in the middle of nowhere and is most useful for a weather diversion followed by an overnight stay in a local pub/hotel.
Great news. Don't forget Exeter Airport!
Good news indeed, and if I read correctly, a warm word of appreciation to AOPA UK and to the politicians that offered support. Were I able to vote for them, I would certainly take a second look.
Great news to see an airfield being not only not treated as a site to put more houses on, but worthy of investment and development as an airfield.
