That looks like plenty of real snow up there. Nice!

Are these pics taken through the airplane windows? They seem really vivid. Which airplane type?

A couple weeks ago we imported from Scandinavia into the Mediterranean some snowed mountain pictures with a seawater background .

This week we imported from the same place a kind of seadragon

blowing a rising plume of steam onto Ibiza island’s airport

I am starting to wonder what the next one will be…

The Fieberbrunn pics were taken from my GoPro 11 mounted to a ski helmet while flying a paraglider. The Rotterdam pic was taken from the same GoPro using an external mount under the wing. Being a bit of a photography nut I don’t like to take photos through windows. However @dan has shown that it’s certainly possible!

You can do it but you need

  • clean and scratch-free windows
  • camera close to the window, but not touching (vibration transfer)
  • suppression of reflections (e.g. dark fluffy rag draped over bare legs )
  • a decent camera (there is a variety of accessories for phones too e.g. rubber hoods)
  • some skill

All my flying pics were done that way; in the TB20GT there is no little window.
