The last ever built Pilatus PC6 Turboporter has been lost in a crash off the coast of Krete. The crew reported an emergency and wished to return to Iraklion, but crashed off the coast near “Bufos Cave” on final to Heraklion’s runway 09. It reached a maximum altitude of about 1500 ft. One of the crew was fatally injured, the other apparently survived.
The aircraft had been given a huge send of at Pilatus some days before, as it was the last of an over 60 year production run.

Pilatus is about making money, no sense to keep building something out of sentimental value instead of real world value. You wouldn’t last long as a company doing that.
Did anyone find any more information about this crash?
Interesting that there are zero comments on Aviation Safety, usually all sort of people weigh in. Somewhat strange.
Some threads just “fall through” and don’t get much attention.
