C172 HA-SKL crashed near Brac airport in Croatia

I don’t know any details except 3 POB, all survived with injuries but not life threatening ones, transported to Split hospital. It happened around 09:30 local time (07:30 UTC) and crash location is pretty remote but accessible to rescue teams. The temperature here is more than 35 degrees – I’m on neighbouring island so I guess DA is pretty high.

It seems to be unclear about the location. One news article quotes between Vela Farska and Pustinji Blaca, which I assume is the Ermitage Blaca. This would mean a pretty steep territory. The news acticle states a Hungarian registration and that the airplane took of in Brac for a sight seeing flight. It also states that the "first problems were registered at 0922am (0722UTC) and that the SAR center at Split was alerted by ATC at 0936am (0736UTC). According to the article, the PIC radioed at 0944am(0744UTC) that they were alive but needed help. The airplane was located in the “Blaca Desert” at 10.17am (0817UTC).

There are no ADSB returns in the area at the time of the accident. At around 0812z a German motorglider took off at Brac and passed the area at about the time when the plane was located, so there is coverage in the area.

Edit: A new article just has surfaced claiming to show the accident airplane.

It looks like a Hungarian register indeed and is probably identified by registration and as belonging to a large charter outfit in Hungary.

From the pics, the prop does look like it was not turning at high speed at the time of the accident or not turning at all.

Density altitude at LDSB right now is 4100 ft. Yummy.

I saw the pictures with Hungarian flag on tail and registration starts with HA-, so I guess that’s correct. Pilot is Serbian citizen while passengers (male and female) are Austrian citizens.
