The SR22 picks up 9 knots through minor aerodynamic refinements in 2022

Mainz (EDFZ) & Egelsbach (EDFE), Germany

They still forgot the retractable gear…

The owner of 2021 sr22 might be 9 knots less happy, may be more…

LFMD, France

Knots2U also keep telling that you’d pick up a lot of knots if you install all their improvements…..

But let’s see what the pilot reports will tell in this case. 9 knots more, this makes what for an SR22? Must be feeling like 321 knots or something.

Is that following a software update? (joke from Tesla )

The aerodynamic refinement is simple: follow the direction of the wind

Germany

To sustain the business, they have to come up with news and new models. Sometimes quite big, like higher MTOW.
This time it seems thin. Would you sell your old and trade up for this?

Aren’t there enough who do this every year with the equally overprized iPhone?

I am really disappointed by this, nothing yet since 2015, but hey they are making load of money in US with “interior & software” in Avgas versions, it’s the only new aircraft manufacturer who sells one or two aircraft everyday and they have the Jet version for anyone who wants JetA

The aviation equivalent is usually a flight manual change. Run the engine harder and make more speed ;-) In real life nobody will do it to make TBO but it looks good on the website. Piper increased the speed also by over 10kt between the Meridian and the M600 by now advertising speeds which are right at redline instead of the Pratt recommended cruise settings used before.
