Saw that a bunch of TB20’s have come up for sale in Portugal, apparently from a defunct flight school or something like this. Most are 2001 models (there is one 98 model) and they have flown last about 10 years ago.
Wonder what can be done with those. They will need quite a bit of work to get them going again but someone may find that it’s worth looking at them.
They are listed on plane check. Just check the Trinidad pages to see them. I think there may be more of them than listed.

Interesting.
More info here.
Very very strange. Take CS-DEE
These planes were flown like hell during their usage and then left to rot somewhere. Forget the engines, and probably there will be loads of avionics issues; there usually are. However, if there is no corrosion, it makes a good “project” base for a refit. But with so many hours, expect major airframe parts replacement too. Basically the control linkages will all need replacing/refurbishing.
I see an opportunity for your spare parts rack, Peter !
Moreover, I think some of them – or most of them, why someone would pay the hangars for a non-productive asset – parked outside.

looks like ex CAE stuff…
It was a CAE flight school. They also flew Seneca 5s by the look of it. Some are inside, some outside.
Evora is a VERY dry location though, rather like desert storage which seems to work. The sun will ruin the paint though.

From the picture above, it looks like it also ruins the propellers :-)
Zero cockpit pictures, poor descriptions – it looks like someone is trying to sell something that he doesn’t exactly know what it is. Regardless Evora dry climate they must have some airframe issues and engines are to be replaced for sure.
From the same lot:

10+ years in the sun – the interior will be totally gone. Upholstery, all plastics cracked, windows, everything. It will be a strip-down and rebuild job, but some airframe parts are hard to get today. Will be easier (genuine Socata parts sourcing but without paperwork) if it goes on the N-reg.
Which is not to say that some mug won’t just buy it and if the engine starts, fly it away People do that all the time.
The funny thing is that the broker listed on planecheck doesn’t have them on their webpage, and on the contrary writes:
*Wanted – (…) TB20’s (…) for Waiting Buyers*

10 years after last use, probably the liquidator / airport / hangar owner?
